It operates at a 0.8 power factor, making it ideal for residential, commercial, and industrial backup power needs.At its core is the Perkins 1103A-33G engine, a naturally aspirated, 3-cylinder vertical inline diesel engine with a displacement of 3.3 liters. The engine runs on a four-stroke cycle with direct injection and is water-cooled. Engine reliability is enhanced by a complete filtration system, including cartridge-type dry air filters, cartridge fuel filters, and a full-flow lube oil filter—all with replaceable elements.Cooling is managed via a high-efficiency radiator and fan system with safety guards, capable of handling high ambient temperatures. The generator also features a heavy-duty industrial exhaust silencer that reduces noise by 16 dB. The system includes an ABB 3-pole MCB (with optional 4-pole), providing superior circuit protection.Fuel consumption is optimized with usage ranging from 3.9 L/hr at 50% load to 7.9 L/hr at full load. The unit features a fuel tank capacity of 85 liters, supporting extended runtime. Other engine parameters include a lubrication system capacity of 8.3 liters and a coolant capacity of 10.2 liters. The generator’s exhaust temperature can reach up to 520°C, and it provides excellent air flow metrics with 0.88 m³/sec radiator air flow, 2.15 m³/min combustion air flow, and 5.8 m³/min exhaust gas flow.Power generation is handled by the Leroy Somer TAL042C alternator, offering stable voltage with ±1% regulation, Class H insulation, IP23 protection rating, and a shunt excitation system. Its brushless design ensures durability and performance under varying load conditions.Control and monitoring are made easy with the Deep Sea Electronics DSE6110 module, an auto-start controller equipped with a backlit LCD display. It provides real-time readings and alarms for generator frequency, voltage, current, oil pressure, coolant temperature, battery voltage, hours run, and start/stop failures. CAN diagnostics and advanced shutdown features add further protection and automation.The Perkins P30 generator is available in both open type and silent type (with soundproof canopy) versions, making it suitable for various applications.
